There is a misconception that spread all over the world which is taking milk with fish is harmful. You will have white patches on your skin if you take this combination of food. But actually its just a myth. The root of this myth is might be an unlucky coincidence but medically or scientifically either way it is not proven. YES you will have problem when you are lactose intolerant or allergic to any kind of fish in that case you will have nausea, itching and stomach pain.
The cause of white patches on skin is due to destruction of cells (melanocyte) that form skin pigment melanin. Melanin gives skin its characteristics colour. The disease is called leucoderma or vitiligo.This is an autoimmune or hereditary disorder. It effects all races equally but more noticeable in people with dark complexion . The cause of leucodrma is mental worry and gastric disorders etc.There is no connection of fish and milk with this disease. Even strict vegetarian get this disease .
Every human body is different to the others and so were the allergies in them. There are some species of fish that accumulate amino acid in them if not preserve properly after they caught and they cause strong allergic reactions to dairy if you are happen to allergic to it. My personal advice is avoid eating fish in their breeding seasons.My mum said fish is healthy when you eat them in the months that ends at "R''. Because these are not the breeding months of fish.These foods are not compatible when taken in large quantity. This combination is also prohibited by some doctors.It means some doctors believe in this myth but a lot of of people in world tried this combination and nothing happens to them.
Fish chowder is a dish in which fish and milk used together.
At the end i would like to say that eating with right conscious is very important.Never overload yourself with varieties of food at the same time and stop trying weird combination of food.
