The famous quote hold a lot of mysteries in it, some doctor believes it and some not. But an apple has a lot of nutrients that we found this proverb a fact. Apple does not cure all ailments. All fruits are loaded with good nutrients that are building blocks of good health. One study however finds that people who ate an apple a day did use fewer proscribed medications. Pectin also help in lowering the bad cholesterol level which is LDL. Potassium in apples promote heart health, boron support strong bones and a healthy brain. A flavonoid called Quercetin found in apple shows reduction in cancer including cancers of lungs and breast. It also reduce free radical damage, they destroys different parts of cells, especially DNA and cause many age-related diseases like Alzheimer's. Quercetin neutralize free radical damage. Apples control insulin level by releasing sugar slowly in bloodstream. The sugars that cause insulin spike are usually involved in weight gain. But natural sugars that found in fruits control insulin release. Vitamin C in apples boost immunity, vitamin A,E and beta carotene reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes and asthma.




Apples act as tooth brush,cleaning teeth and killing bacteria in mouth, hence reducing the risk of tooth decay. They act as cleanser and detoxifier help to eliminate heavy metals like lead and mercury. They strengthen the heart, quench thirst, lubricate lungs, decrease mucous and increase body fluids. They also help in weight loss as they are low in calories and fibers in it make you feel full for a long time. According to Brazilian study eating an apple before a meal helped women to loose 33 percent more weight than women who don't eat. Eating apple daily also reduces skin diseases.
Many antioxidants in apple found in skin of it. Drinking juice and eating a whole apple is two different things as juice does not have fibers like the whole apple, good part of beneficial nutrients are found in skin. Apple juices is not equal to real apple.
