EATING SUGAR STOPS GROWTH IN CHILDREN

Growth hormone also called as somatotrophin is responsible for growth, cell reproduction and cell regeneration in human body. It is synthesized ,stored, and secreted by anterior portion of pituitary gland. It is secreted through out life but highest at puberty and steadily decline from then on.
It is believed that eating sugar will stops growth. Let's see how much truth is in this statement.
Child growth is a matter of genetics. She cannot grow normally without a healthy, balanced diet and eating sweets at time of dinner and lunch stops her to eat healthy. Eating less sugar means there will be less sugar in blood and low blood sugar level, sleep and exercise stimulate hypothalamus to produce and release hormones, that increase growth hormone synthesis. Elevated blood level of glucose and growth hormone itself inhibit the production and secretion of GH(growth hormone).
The hormone also depend on sleep.
During early sleep its secretion is highest. But consumption of carbs at bed time can blunt the release of growth hormone. Greater the amount of carbs taken, greater will be the blood sugar level and greater suppression of growth hormone.
There are also a lot of things that help in release of GH like it is released after consumption of protein. Increase protein intake will increase growth hormone, and increase hormone will increase the need of protein. Potassium intake also help in secretion  but the balance in sodium and potassium ratio should be maintained. Sodium is eaten a lot as compared to potassium.
Any type of exercise will cause an increase in GH level but high intensity excersize will cause a greater release as compared to moderate or low intensity exercise.
More sugar a child eats, the more likely childhood obesity will happen on her.
